Slapfish has two locations and both are in spots surrounded by great food and activities. We’ve been here a couple times and it doesn’t disappoint. The menu is simple and there’s a second menu just for the available fish.

When you walk in, you have a counter up front that you walk up to and place your order. The staff are always very friendly and will walk you through their menu if need be. There are also very unique drinks here, worth trying for sure.

The menu isn’t huge, but there’s plenty to try and the fish options are constantly changing. Autumn has ordered the fish and chips a few times and each time we’ve asked the staff which fish was the best on the menu, it never disappoints. Trust them and don’t hesitate, the fish goes fast. I have tried the lobster roll and the lobster grinder, each time I wish I had the fish and chips. The lobster roll and grinder are different preparations entirely and I preferred the lobster grinder the day I got it as the lobster wasn’t over cooked unlike the lobster roll.

The lobster taquitos however, are so different and are a must try. They are warm, crispy, and have great sauces. I wouldn’t go for the ceviche as it was more like a shrimp cocktail and lacked flavor entirely.

Back to the fish and chips. The chips, or fries, are prepared excellently and the fish is so perfectly fried. You’re able to have it prepared in different ways, fried or grilled, and you are able to select which type of fish. We’ve tried the parrot fish the last time we went and it was absolutely amazing. Their tarter sauce is homemade and it’s also a perfect compliment for the fish.

We love this place and are pleasantly surprised with how good the food is. We’ll keep working our way through the menu as it’s a place we will continue to return to. If you enjoy good seafood, check this place out at either location.
