You pick your plate off the conveyor belt and stack your plates when your done and are charged based on the different colors and number of plates. It gives you a great opportunity to try lots of different things without committing to entire rolls if you don’t know that you like them or not. We got to…

    Cinnamon’s

1777 Ala Moana Blvd Honolulu, HI 96815808-670-1915Hours: Monday to Sunday 7:00 am – 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm Cinnamon’s is one of my favorite places to eat breakfast… anywhere. Back in 2014 we were headed to a breakfast place Kellyne had picked and for some reason it didn’t work out and I had to find a replacement. I found Cinnamons and everyone was a bit hangry at the time so the 2 hour wait didn’t help matters. I wandered off to the upstairs area in that shopping center and stumbled upon a chocolate store which had a chocolate tasting tour of sorts and it was fantastic. That…

    Oahu Day 5

We woke up pretty early to take Kellyne to school… cause my baby sister is a teacher… it’s still weird. Anyways, we took her to school and had big plans for the day. The Polynesian Cultural Center or the PCC. The PCC is located on the north shore, so it was a semi-long drive, so we took off. It’s a pretty drive but we did hit some traffic which took quite a bit of time. We passed all of the shrimp trucks and got to the PCC before they opened to get our tickets. Once we got our tickets, we went to a place that Kellyne suggested we try, Ken’s…

She got to know the local food up there and has her favorites. Ken’s Fresh Fish is one of the places she loves to get fish. We pulled up to this small strip and walked into a very open and empty room. But there were several people coming in and out of this place too. There was a whiteboard set up and it happened to be the very simple menu. We decided to…

    Maui/Oahu Day 4

Day 4, was packed with a lot of movement. Autumn and I woke up early and grabbed our swimsuits and snorkel gear and headed off to Ahihi Kinau Natural area reserve. It was about a 20-30 min drive from where we were staying and it was a pretty drive. The road to get there gets a bit narrow and rough, but there’s a parking lot that you pull into and are able to hike down the rocky path to the beach. All of the surrounding rock was black and rough on the hike down. As we were hiking down we noticed two things that didn’t bode well…. surfers and large…

    Gyu-Kaku

95-1830 Meheula Pkwy Space C-12 and C-13, Mililani, HI 96789808-600-5848Hours: Monday to Thursday 11:00 am – 10:00 pmFriday to Saturday 11:00 am – 11:00 pmSunday 11:00 – 9:00 pm I love Asian BBQ. I say Asian bbq because I enjoy both Japanese and Korean bbq a whole lot. This place is a Japanese bbq restaurant and we happened to come here back in 2017 for my birthday. It was one of Kellyne’s picks back then, still is one of her favorites, and now it’s one of mine. This restaurant has a large menu. It’s kind of overwhelming but, we let Kellyne take the lead. We did know that previously that…

    Coconuts Fish Cafe

1279 S Kihei Rd Kihei, HI 96753808-875-9979Hours: Monday to Sunday 10:00 am – 9:00 pm Coconuts was recommended to us by one of Kellyne’s students. It was located in a strip mall and seemed to be relatively busy. We walked up to the counter and stared at the menu to determine what we were going to order. The staff greeted us and asked if it was our first time coming there. When we responded yes, we were told that they were known for their fish tacos and the grilled ono on a bun was also highly recommended. We ended up ordering the fish tacos, the fish and chips, and the…

    Maui, Hawaii Day 3

We had reservations about 30 min from where our resort was for a pineapple and distillery tour with Maui Pineapple Tours. Before our tour, breakfast was needed. Our first spot was Cafe at La Plage. Two doors down was Maui Bread. Both are located in the Dolphin Plaza and are popular spots. Kellyne, Autumn, and I were able to try out a variety of items and get ready for our tours. Once we arrived at the Maui Pineapple Tour location, where both our tours would take place, we were ready for our fill of pineapple information and of course, fresh pineapple. The pineapple tour did not disappoint. Our second tour…

    Fat Daddy’s Smokehouse BBQ

1913 S Kihei Rd. Kihei, HI 96753808-879-8711Hours: Monday to Sunday 3:00 pm – 8:30 pm Fat Daddy’s has two entrances. We happened to go in the back as it was pretty hard to find the entrances. Once we found it, the place was busy. The waitress let us know as we were seated that they were out of a few items on the menu: burnt ends and smoked devil eggs After looking over the menu, there were some dressed up usuals that you’d expect to find at a BBQ joint: beans, Mac and cheese, hushpuppies, etc. Now I spent the majority of my life in Kansas City, so I know…

    Tiffany’s Bar and Grill

1424 Lower Main St. Wailuku, HI 96793808-249-0052Hours: 10:30 am – 11:30 pm Tiffany’s was off the beaten path and we missed it the first time we drove by. It was a bit questionable, but we were tired and hungry, so we decided to go for it. Once we parked and walked in, it was fairly busy. Apparently the place had just gotten a POS, or a point of sale, installed that day and things were a bit crazy. We sat down and tried to interpret what kind of place this was, as we thought it was a Chinese restaurant when we picked it. It was, kinda. The menu was pretty…
