It’s an interesting concept that is right off the highway and was brand new, opening it’s doors May 2020. There businesses are housed in a building that has multiple roof top patios, windows everywhere, and 2 stories with the majority of the restaurants on the first floor set up like a food court. Upstairs was what we came for, well it’s what I came for. Cocoa Flora. I…

    Green Chile Cheddar Sourdough

It’s that time of year that fresh roasted hatch green chile is here and we’ve stocked up! Time to put it to use. Sourdough is a tricky thing but I am obsessed with it. I started my starter over 1.5 years ago. If you don’t have a sourdough starter, this could be modified with an artisan bread base recipe. 50g starter 365g warm water, not hot 480g bread flour 20g whole wheat flour 9g salt 2-3 oz green chile- roasted, peeled, and chopped (entirely based on preference) 2-3 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese (entirely based on preference) In a large bowl combine the all ingredients except the green chile and…

A noodle lover of all types of cuisines. I also appreciate how well something is made from scratch, specifically doughs. So, when I heard about this place, well Autumn told me about it, we had to check it out. We arrived around 4 pm, so it was relatively slow with few people in the restaurant. We were seated in a booth and started to check out the menu. There were a few things that looked very interesting, specifically the Takoyaki…

    Oahu Day 6 & 7

On day 6, which was August 22nd, it was Autumn’s 27th birthday! We had planned to spend the majority of the day with my Aunt Cindy, who was back in Oahu for another day of adventures. We woke up early and dropped Kellyne off at work and headed towards Cindy’s hotel in the center of Waikiki. Cindy was staying off the water at a hotel that had great parking. With plans of eating dinner at a near by restaurant, Cinnamon’s, we parked and walked over to the restaurant. Cinnamon’s has a couple locations and a few years ago, I had one of the absolute best breakfasts I’ve ever had at…

We searched for a bit and found this place which was sort of hard to tell if they had ceviche or not, but after a quick call, we determined they did. The parking lot was quite small but we pulled in next to the crowded barber shop, parked, and went in. Autumn was immediately sold due to the murals found on the walls, specifically Selena. We were seated and the place was pretty busy. Our waitress, who…
