    Oahu Day 6 & 7

On day 6, which was August 22nd, it was Autumn’s 27th birthday! We had planned to spend the majority of the day with my Aunt Cindy, who was back in Oahu for another day of adventures. We woke up early and dropped Kellyne off at work and headed towards Cindy’s hotel in the center of Waikiki. Cindy was staying off the water at a hotel that had great parking. With plans of eating dinner at a near by restaurant, Cinnamon’s, we parked and walked over to the restaurant. Cinnamon’s has a couple locations and a few years ago, I had one of the absolute best breakfasts I’ve ever had at…

    Oahu Day 5

We woke up pretty early to take Kellyne to school… cause my baby sister is a teacher… it’s still weird. Anyways, we took her to school and had big plans for the day. The Polynesian Cultural Center or the PCC. The PCC is located on the north shore, so it was a semi-long drive, so we took off. It’s a pretty drive but we did hit some traffic which took quite a bit of time. We passed all of the shrimp trucks and got to the PCC before they opened to get our tickets. Once we got our tickets, we went to a place that Kellyne suggested we try, Ken’s…

    Maui/Oahu Day 4

Day 4, was packed with a lot of movement. Autumn and I woke up early and grabbed our swimsuits and snorkel gear and headed off to Ahihi Kinau Natural area reserve. It was about a 20-30 min drive from where we were staying and it was a pretty drive. The road to get there gets a bit narrow and rough, but there’s a parking lot that you pull into and are able to hike down the rocky path to the beach. All of the surrounding rock was black and rough on the hike down. As we were hiking down we noticed two things that didn’t bode well…. surfers and large…

    Maui, Hawaii Day 3

We had reservations about 30 min from where our resort was for a pineapple and distillery tour with Maui Pineapple Tours. Before our tour, breakfast was needed. Our first spot was Cafe at La Plage. Two doors down was Maui Bread. Both are located in the Dolphin Plaza and are popular spots. Kellyne, Autumn, and I were able to try out a variety of items and get ready for our tours. Once we arrived at the Maui Pineapple Tour location, where both our tours would take place, we were ready for our fill of pineapple information and of course, fresh pineapple. The pineapple tour did not disappoint. Our second tour…

Maui Pineapple Tours: Maui Gold and Haliimaile Distilling Company

883 Haliimaile Rd Makawao, Maui, HI 96768808-665-5491 I’ve done the pineapple tour with this company now 3 times. Each time has been very different and I still would do this tour again in the future. It was a must do when we decided we were going to Maui. The tour has add on options. One add on is lunch at the General Store, which is actually a restaurant now. My family and I have done this option in the past and it was a neat experience and the food was good. The second add on, which is newer, is to the distillery that was built to capture the overripe pineapples…

    Maui, Hawaii Day 1 & 2

The Hawaiian islands have been a popular vacation spot in my family since we first started going over a decade ago. It was so enjoyed, my youngest sister, Kellyne, decided to go to college in Oahu. After Kellyne graduated, she decided to stay in Oahu and become a teacher at a local middle school. Which just means, perfect vacation spot that also includes family! Autumn hadn’t ever been to a beach and this was just her second set of plane rides, so it was quite a trip to take on. Never the less, it was also the end of Autumn’s school semester, our anniversary, and her birthday, so there were…

It was pretty neat and a very smart business model. The class was tucked in a room behind the front of the shop, which had some neat stuff in that little…
