I have been fortunate enough to be able to experience this restaurant’s chef series meal and it was phenomenal. Find that write up here. My mother and aunt came into town for Balloon Fiesta and my mother said she really wanted to check out that restaurant we went to for the chef series since it was so unique and looked delicious. We were thrilled to go so we could check out their breakfast and their farm store. We arrived at 10:30 am, kind of late for us, but after a majorly full day at the balloon fiesta and Santa Fe the day before, we needed the sleep. We were able to grab patio seating, that was first come first serve, as there was a 2 hour wait. I asked what happens when you have a longer wait than the restaurant is open and they said they keep serving as long as there are people waiting. Our seating worked out amazingly. The weather was absolutely perfect.

We were quickly greeted by our waitress and she took our drink orders and the table pastry of the day and croissant orders. Any time I go somewhere new and they happen to have croissants, I try them. The pastry of the day was the peach bundt cake. It was delicate and mild with fresh peaches baked in it. It was great. The croissant was perfectly flakey and had excellent layers. I was a happy camper just with the starters. The seasonal jam and whipped butter provided were also a perfect pair to the croissant. The jam appeared to be raspberry.

We ordered different drinks: My Aunt Cindy got a mint tea (not pictured, but comes in a cute tea pot), My mother Terry got a hot chocolate, Autumn got a mocha, and I got a chai latte. They were all delicious and presented wonderfully.

The breakfast options looked wonderful and I was struggling with choosing between several items. The waitress was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with all of us in clarifying and explaining preparations for food. Previously at our chef series dinner here, I mentioned the staff was absolutely wonderful, this is still holding true. My Aunt Cindy ordered the Chicharron Burrito: eggs, tucumcari jack and cheddar, refrained beans, potato, smothered in red and green chile. My mother Terry ordered the Fall Omelet: burrata, onion, sautéed NM Chiles, peppers and tomato, petite salad, and toast. Autumn ordered the Cochinita Pibil Tacos and Egg: refried beans, quest blanco, avocado crema, fire pit salsa, and sunny egg. I ordered the Avocado Toast: bacon, green chile jam, salad greens, sourdough, and poached egg.

Previously Cinnamon’s was my favorite place for breakfast… That has been changed. This breakfast was absolutely incredible. The avocado toast was my meal. It had whole avocados, which I was hesitant with, but the jam… that green chile jam was incredible. The sourdough was excellent and had the jam spread on the bread in a thin layer. Then a bit of salad was on top which may have had a bit of dressing but I’m still not sure as it could have been the jam. The sliced avocado went on top of the lettuce followed by the incredible bacon on top. Then there was pickled onion and carrots sprinkled on top. Followed by a poached egg with herbs on top. The ONLY thing I would have changed with this dish would have been two poached eggs. It was just incredible. So incredible I went and bought some of the jam at their farm store and made my own avocado toast with my green chile sourdough bread for a few days in a row. The jam just makes it. I loved it so much, I made my own green chile jam.

The omelet was delicious and flavorful, perfectly light and filling. I’m not a huge omelet person, but it was pretty good. The Chicharron burrito was very surprising. The pork bits of Chicharron were flavorful and had a lot of texture. The burrito itself was very filling and delicious. The Pibil tacos were surprising and absolutely fantastic. The meat was very moist and absolutely exploding with flavor. It was a paired with pickled onions and the avocado crema which were fantastic additions. The eggs were cooked very well, but those tacos were fantastic by themselves.

We enjoyed perfect weather, phenomenal food, excellent service, and then went to the little farm store on the property. This place is fantastic. Each time we go, I am more and more surprised. Check this place out, it is absolutely a MUST GO.
