We decided to try out one of our resort restaurants and landed here. It was late when we arrived and were seated. As we walked in I saw several tables had bread and oil of some sort. I at least was looking forward to that as it’s one of my favorite accompaniments to a meal. We were seated and handed menus. We reviewed the appetizers and decided on the Poke nachos as our waitress highly recommended it and it was unique to this place.

It was fairly decent and the fish was very fresh. It was expensive and I probably wouldn’t order it again, but it was something unique to try. Our entree orders were placed and I inquired about the bread and oil. Our waitress came back with some bread and butter and said that it was the last little bits in the house. The bread was rock hard and we weren’t able to eat it.

Our entrees arrived and they looked very appetizing. Kellyne ordered the steak with chimichurri sauce, Autumn ordered the short rib tacos, and I ordered the shrimp pasta.

Kellyne’s steak was the best item that was ordered for the entire meal. The steak was flavorful and very tender. My pasta lacked flavor entirely. It was very disappointing as a simple dish with pasta, olive oil, lemon, and fresh veggies is usually delicious with the ingredients themselves. This pasta had no flavor and sadly, the shrimp was very over cook. I ate a little bit but opted to forgo the remainder of my meal. Autumn’s tacos were alright, but nothing impressive. The salsas and guacamole weren’t something I would add very interesting flavor and the salsas weren’t what I would eat again. The corn salsa was flavorful, but overall, not my favorite kind of tacos.

Sadly this restaurant isn’t one I would return to. It was overpriced and probably my least favorite meal of our entire trip. Such a shame since the seating and dining area were overlooking the beautifully lit up pools on the property and you could hear the ocean in the background.
